Amen and amen!
There is a desire written on all of our hearts; a deepest of yearnings that desires above all, a happy ending. This desire was placed on our hearts for a reason. Why else are we so engrossed in the narratives of books and cinema? Why do we so often desire there to be a good, final, happy ending? An ending that, while final in it’s approach, is truly open ended. Knowing that everything will be ok.
I can safely and confidentially say, I have found my promise for a happy ending.
“Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” // Revelation 21:3-4
Forever. Jesus truly means that. Let that sink in, meditate on what it means to be in peace and rest forever. The perfect happy ending. No more tears, no pain; only hope and a future of endless possibility. But the kicker is this; Now is the time to call people towards home, now is the time to awaken the longing in their heart and to lead them to the endless spring of life, true life.
“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life… The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart. And that message is the very message about faith that we preach:
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. // Revelation 22:17 , Romans10:8-9
And they lived happily ever after.
